A financial planner’s primary role is to assist, protect, implement, manage and review a client’s wealth. This is achieved by gathering the client’s personal information and objectives, analysing it, developing solutions and then presenting the clients with the recommendations.
The adviser is required to obtain what seems like an enormous amount of information, but generally the majority of this information is necessary for the adviser to recommend a suitable plan for the client to see an example of a Fact Find which is used at the first appointment to obtain the necessary information. Once the client is happy and comfortable with the recommended plan, the implementation process begins.
It is then the financial planner’s role to review the client’s portfolio/situation regularly, ensuring that any changes to the client’s risk profile, goals or life changes are taken into consideration.
